The research company Curasight announces that a preliminary analysis from the phase 1 study with the radioligand therapy uTREAT in glioblastoma shows positive results.The data indicate that the treatment can be administered safely via a targeted catheter technique in the brain’s blood vessels, while achieving high accumulation and retention in the tumor. The results also show a biodistribution that is assessed to enable therapeutically relevant radiation doses to the tumor without exceeding safety limits for healthy organs.According to CEO Ulrich Krasilnikoff, the results strengthen the conditions for continuing the development of uTREAT as a potential new treatment for patients with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer with major medical needs.
