Solar energy company Absolicon has signed a final agreement for the delivery of a solar thermal plant to Athenian Brewery, Heineken's operation in Greece. The 528-square-meter and 370-kilowatt facility is to be installed at the brewery in Thessaloniki and used to dry malt.The project is part of an international demonstration program for sustainable industrial heat supply and is expected to be completed in autumn 2026.The company stated on April 27 that it had been selected as the winning bidder in the project. The indicative order value was stated at SEK 3.7 million excluding transport costs.
