The medical technology company Polarcool’s rights issue was subscribed to approximately 86.3 percent through subscriptions with and without subscription rights. The remainder has been covered by guarantors, resulting in the company receiving approximately SEK 12 million before issue costs, according to a press release.In connection with the allotment, the board has decided to allow the set-off of certain claims against the company of approximately SEK 0.7 million.Furthermore, the board has resolved on a directed share issue of 426,490 shares to the guarantors in the rights issue as compensation for their guarantee commitments. The subscription price in this compensation issue is SEK 2.15 per share.Polarcool also announces that Achilles Capital’s holding in the company will cross the shareholding disclosure threshold of 25 percent of the number of shares and votes after registration of the new shares.The company intends to use the issue proceeds to accelerate sales of Polarcap, ensure a successful launch in North America, and strengthen financial flexibility.
